In 2015 I went to India to attend Khumba Mela, then study in Rishikesh with my teacher.  I had some anxiety and a lot of expectations of what India would be.  It actually felt like a very easy coming home.  

I am fascinated by faces.  They tell the most when they don't know you're watching.  I wanted to be an observer and capture each soul as I discovered them.  I used a telephoto lense so that I could take these photos from a distance, hopefully unnoticed.  I offer these photos as thanksgiving to the Divine I saw all around me.
